The Founders

The Cartier Women's Initiative Awards are a joint partnership project initiated by Cartier, the Women's Forum, McKinsey & Company and INSEAD business school. Each partner brings its expertise to the initiative: Cartier plays a leading role in the organisation of the competition and provides coaching and funding for the projects.
The Women's Forum provides important visibility and networking opportunities for the finalists. McKinsey & Company and INSEAD coach the finalists.

Women's Forum

Founded in 2005, the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society is the first forum of its kind on both a European and international level; in seven years it has already established a legacy in advancing women’s empowerment by:

  • Challenging women and men alike to rethink their vision of the future,
  • Facilitating interaction and sharing of expertise and experience across different spheres: business, politics, NGOs, academia, sciences, culture,
  • Advocating innovative, practical and measurable commitments and actions which resonate with results driven leaders.

The Women’s Forum is based on three dimensions:

  • Women’s Forum Global Meeting, an annual three-day international event, and in 2012, a one-day event "Women's Forum Brazil"
  • Women’s Forum Initiatives, sustained commitments with high added value,
  • Women’s Forum Web Community, a worldwide interactive on-line platform.
