Af Hernandez is a Principal at NextEra Energy, one of America's largest capital investors in infrastructure. He is also the Co-Founder of La Familia Foundation, the largest Latin non-profit for Venture Capitalist and Founders.

Af Hernandez is a Principal at NextEra Energy Investments, the world's largest generator of renewable energy from Wind and Solar. Af focuses on cleantech, IoT, industrial sustainability, fintech solutions, and decarbonization products.

Af Hernandez is also the Co-Founder of La Familia Foundation, the largest Latine non-profit for Venture Capitalist and Founders. The organization strives to close the funding gap and bring recognition to the Latine community.

Previous to NextEra, Af was a Senior Associate at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. His responsibilities include sector research, pipeline development and tracking, and investment due diligence support. Before EIF, Af spent six years at Lockheed Martin. Most recently he was a Senior Strategic Planner at the newly formed Lockheed Martin (LM) Energy. At LM Energy, Af oversaw the research and development investment portfolio and was key in developing the long-term strategy. He worked alongside senior executives on business development, mergers and acquisitions, technology investments, and international market entry strategies.

Af received a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and holds an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
