Creating your account

The application form is available on this website until March 17, 2010. To enter the form, candidates must create an account on the HOW TO APPLY page by entering a valid email address and a password. We will not send spam messages to your mailbox.

Your account will remain active until the submission deadline of March 17, 2010. This means that you will be able edit your form during the entire application period.

Completing the form

The application form cannot be downloaded or saved to your computer. You must complete it while you are online. Each field has a “more info” link which explains the question in detail and gives you the underlying or related questions you should ask yourself.

While completing the form, there is a risk that your session expires: this depends on the quality of the internet connection you are using. We therefore recommend that you read the questions of the application form first and prepare the written answers before registering. Once online, you can then copy and paste the information you have prepared.

The information you enter can be saved at any time while working on the application form. Once saved, you can disconnect from the webpage and choose to go back later. You have the possibility of editing your answers and adding information until the application deadline of March 17, 2010. Even after clicking on the SAVE ALL on the last page of the form, you can edit your form until the deadline. Your form is not sent to us by email, it is saved in our database and we collect it after the submission deadline. You will not be able to access your account and application form after the deadline.
You will not receive any confirmation email after you have applied. However, the results of the 2010 Cartier Women's Initiative Awards will be sent to you in June 2010 by email.

Some problems encountered by our candidates

- The form is empty: this is usually due to a spelling mistake either in the username or in the password. Be careful with caps and spaces! Because the data entered is different, the system does not recognize the user and automatically generates a new form which is blank.
- The session expires: our system is designed to be active for 4 hours once the user has identified herself and entered the form. Depending on the quality of the internet connection, candidates may see their sessions expire earlier. To avoid this problem we recommend that you read the questions of the application form first and prepare the written answers before registering. Once online, you can then copy and paste the information you have prepared.
