More…The Laureates represent five geographical regions that encompass all countries: Africa, Asia (including the Oceania Zone and the Middle-East), Europe, Latin America (including the Caribbean) and North America. They lead businesses in fields as diverse as sanitation services, food industry, financial services, web design and biotechnology.
Despite the economic downturn, 2009 was a record year for the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards in terms of applications received. The projects submitted were more mature and more diversified. In addition, the social and environmental component was very present on all continents.
