Christopher Bockmann

Executive Coach
Coached finalist:

Christopher has a deep experience with complex, global organisations and diffuse leadership undergoing significant change both as an executive coach and in his previous career.

Christopher has a multi-cultural background, born French-Norwegian, raised across several continents and continued being exposed in his 20 years’ career to ever diverse and new experiences in organisational and executive development. This has fed his curiosity and a particular ability to sense and adapt to new environments, an ability he applies in every client assignment.

He worked for more than 15 years for global law firms (Clifford Chance, Linklaters) in post-merger integration work. His first career was with the European Commission in the 1990s working on the EU enlargement process.

Christopher works with clients that want to challenge their organisation and their way of working. He assists leadership teams in managing the uncertainty, resistance and pressure from stakeholders of the status quo. Clients know why their organisation needs to be challenged but look for how. His works is organised around three themes: designing the case for change, mapping the informal organisation essential to any change process, and shifting patterns of collaboration to generate movement toward the desired change.

Christopher graduated from INSEAD (France) with an Executive Masters in Organisational Psychology and Coaching and from Cambridge university (UK) in Political sciences. He has researched and published on many aspects of leadership (transitions, collaboration, group decision-making) and is a regular conference speakers. He works in English, French, Spanish, and Norwegian.
