Senior National Expert for Development Finance to the European Commission

Michaela Schütte is a development banker with more than 15 years of work experience in investment, strategy, and management positions at the European Commission, the German and the French Development Bank, KfW group, and Agence Française de Développement (AFD). 

Michaela provides advice to the European Commission on managing blended development finance instruments and guarantees.

A multi-lingual partnership builder and former CFO of a social enterprise, she coaches INSEAD and Cartier Women's Initiative entrepreneurs. She is excited about the possibilities for social entrepreneurship and technology. 

Michaela is an alumna of the INSEAD business school Social Entrepreneurship Programme. 

She currently lives in Paris and Brussels with her husband and their two children.
