Rana is a leading Lebanese entrepreneur in the realm of STEM education.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Rana, who holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master in Engineering Management, is now 10-years into her second own business.

Ever since Rana founded The Little Engineer back in 2009, she has become a voice of change while investing in young minds and empowering the women of her community. The resonance of her achievements has surpassed their regional echoes and has sprung globally to diffuse within the academic curricula of several countries worldwide. For her initiative and business plan, she was recognized as one of the MENA's most promising entrepreneurs by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009.

Rana was awarded the Coup de Coeur Femme by Medventures for the Mediterranean in 2010, selected as woman entrepreneur by the American Embassy to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program “IVLP” in 2011 and was the 2011 MENA Laureate for Cartier Women’s Initiative Award. Rana was also granted the Green Mind Award in 2012 for her novel achievements in renewable energy.

In 2013, The little Engineer signed a strategic partnership with Airbus Foundation to deliver regional and global space and aviation workshops for youth. In 2015 Rana joined Vital Voices Network to benefit from several programs such as VV Grow in 2015, VV100 in 2016, Global Ambassador in 2017, and Techwomen in 2017. Over the years, she has caught the attention of several enterprises, such as the Hult Prize and TechCrunch, to host her as a jury member whilst playing her fair share in mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs and panelling globally.
