A good jury panel is no different from a business leadership team –it has members from diverse backgrounds and experiences who can bring different insights and perspectives to bear.
As a former fellow and now a jury member for the Cartier Women’s Initiative, I know that their structure, support and wider network are completely aligned with the mission and goals of a social enterprise.
From the day that my application was accepted, I was coached to structure and build my business. I was introduced to incredible entrepreneurs from all over the world who amazed and inspired me. It came naturally to me to want to coach and mentor others.

The Q&A session with the jury brought up questions and themes that potential future investors are interested in understanding, and it gave me an opportunity to think and speak about my business in a professional pitch format.
Most of us are agents of change but, to truly make a meaningful impact, it’s always nice to have some wind beneath the wings. The Cartier Women’s Initiative is that wind mobilizing impact around the world.
There is an urgent need for innovation leveraging the power of technology to achieve scientific objectives, to bring research to life and turn ideas into impact.
