Amal Dokhan
Amal Dokhan is a venture capitalist and ecosystem builder with more than a decade of experience advancing entrepreneurship in the MENA region. She is a Managing Partner at 500 Global, where she leads the Sanabil 500 MENA Seed Accelerator Fund, investing in early-stage technology startups.
Amal is a longtime advocate for entrepreneurship and innovation, with a career dedicated to creating and scaling entrepreneurial ecosystems. At 500 Global, she oversees investments that nurture early-stage technology ventures across the Middle East and North Africa. Previously, she worked at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, managing accelerator and corporate innovation programs with major organizations such as Aramco, STC, and SABIC.
She has also contributed to several government initiatives through her work with the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority and later supported entrepreneurship programs at Babson College in the MENA region. Amal served with Monsha’at, managing the Global Entrepreneurship Network, and worked at the Ministry of Health’s Vision Realization Office. An angel investor in multiple startups, she brings deep market insight to her work.
Amal is a board member of the Saudi Venture Capital and Private Equity Association as well as the Middle East Venture Capital Association in the United Arab Emirates. She is also a fellow of the prestigious Kauffman Fellows program, a global network of venture capital leaders. Recognized by Forbes as one of the Middle East’s most powerful women in both 2023 and 2024, Amal continues to champion innovation and support entrepreneurs who are leveraging business as a force for good.
