Caroline von Hirschberg is a purpose-driven business leader and investor advancing inclusive impact ecosystems. She co-leads Spring, which has catalyzed over eighty-three million dollars in early-stage capital for Canadian ventures addressing people and planetary health, and serves as chair of Propel Impact.
With a career spanning four continents and multiple sectors, Caroline von Hirschberg brings global, cross-sectoral experience to her work as co-chief executive officer of Spring and chair of Propel Impact. At Spring, she has helped mobilize more than eighty-three million dollars in early-stage capital for ventures tackling critical challenges in people and planetary health, with a focus on founders from underrepresented communities.
Caroline’s background includes corporate leadership in the United Kingdom, international development with UNICEF in Laos, and co-founding a renewable energy venture that designed and launched off-grid solutions internationally. She combines strategic insight with operational pragmatism, always focused on creating meaningful and measurable social and environmental impact.
As chair of Propel Impact, Caroline is shaping the future of impact investing by empowering youth to reimagine how capital flows and whom it serves. Her commitment to building a more equitable ecosystem became deeply personal when, within the same year, she became a mother and also lost her own mother to a preventable health issue, further reinforcing her mission to advance inclusive and transformative change.
