Donatella Treu was born in Milan, where she actually lives. From her parents, Donatella inherited that perfect mix of tenacity, iron will and operativity that allowed her to reach the business summits.

Graduated in Economics at Bocconi University, she speaks fluently English and French, She began her career in 1982 in IPSOA publisher, first as intern and then as employee.
When the Company was acquired by the international publishing group Wolters Kluwer, in few years she was appointed as Editorial Director, General Manager and finally Managing Director. From 2003, in just three years, she leads an intense plan of acquisitions, carrying Italian holding company of Wolters Kluwer to become one of the main players in the professional market in Italy with a turnover of more than 230 millions euro and 1.100 employees.

In 2007, due to her entrepreneurial skills and continuous commitment to develop equal opportunity and family-friend policies, Donatella Treu was awarded of the honour of "Commendatore dell'Ordine al Merito" from the President of the Italian Republic and "Marisa Bellisario Apple Gold" prize for her success in business management.

In 2009 Donatella Treu, next to her role as CEO for Wolters Kluwer Italy, became the Regional Manager for Central Europe and Russia and CEO of the Legal Division worldwide, which represents over 50% of the total turnover worldwide.

Since March 2010 she is Chief Executive Officer of 24 ORE Group (1.900 employees and a turnover of 540 millions euro), that with all its publications and activities is one of the most important publisher in Italy, where she started a policy aimed at strengthening internal synergies among all the media activities of the Group: newspaper, radio, professional publishing, business school and digital assets. Through an intense cultural change management, she directs the group and its management towards more flexible and efficient business processes. Supporting research and development of products through the use of digital technologies, she strengthens 24 ORE brand as a reliable reference for professional, economical, business and finance information.

She currently serves the following Associations:
• ANSA – National Agency Associated Press as member of the Directory of Board
• AUDIPRESS - Company that collects and publish data on the spread of the Italian press as a member of the Directory of Board
• Foundation for the Memorial to the Fallen of Peace as a member of the Directory of Board
• FIEG – Italian Federation of Newspaper Publisher as Treasurer
• PROSPERA, a non-profit organization aiming to forming a new management class on the values of the commitment charge, transparency and intellectual honesty, as a member of the Scientific Committee
• Responsible in Lombardia of MARISA BELLISARIO FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization which aims to enhance women's professionalism and promote the culture of gender balance

Great energy, passion, innovation, optimism and innate sense of the leadership mark her personality and style to manage the company and employees. Her hobbies are skiing, football and cooking, but her large passion remains her family: she has two daughters, to whom - despite so many professional engagements - she dedicates all her available time.
