Katinka Greve Leiner has been the Director of Ferd Social Entrepreneurs since its establishment in 2009. Ferd SE has invested in 28 social entrepreneurs over the last 11 years, and has provided support to a significant number outside of its portfolio.

Katinka is on the board of Den Sociale Kapitalfond (The Social Capital Fund) in Denmark and had a board position in EVPA (European Venture Philanthropic Association) for four years, ending last year (2018). She also sits on the board of several of the social entrepreneurs Ferd has supported. Formerly, Katinka was Vice President of Innovation Norway, a governmental body for industrial development.

She was in charge of the Entrepreneurship focus area when Innovation Norway was first established in 2002 and was featured in an entrepreneurial TV-show "Skaperen" (a Norwegian twist on the British show "Dragon’s Den"). Katinka was previously a Communications Consultant at Burson-Marsteller Norway.

She has also been a Political Advisor for the Labour Party's Parliamentary group, and Senior Engineer in the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate. She graduated in 1991 as a civil engineer in electric power from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
