LU ZHANG
Lu Zhang is a serial entrepreneur and Silicon Valley investor leading Fusion Fund, which supports early-stage ventures in healthcare, enterprise AI, and industrial automation. She is a Stanford Engineering alumna and recognized thought leader in technology and venture capital.
With a strong technical background, Lu has extensive experience bringing a broad range of technologies to commercialization, and deep domain expertise in AI in healthcare, Enterprise AI/Networks, Edge Computing and Data Privacy.
She founded Fusion Fund in 2015 to support early-stage entrepreneurs driving innovation in these fields. Since then, the fund has invested in over ninety companies across the United States and Canada, generating significant exits and establishing a strong Silicon Valley ecosystem.
Lu has been recognized globally for her impact, including as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, a Top 25 Female Early-Stage Investor by Business Insider, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and a Silicon Valley Woman of Influence. She frequently speaks at high-profile conferences such as the World Economic Forum, Future Investment Initiative, Web Summit, and SuperReturn, and is a guest lecturer at Stanford University and Wharton.
She serves on multiple boards, including CommonSpirit Health Foundation, the Youth Council of Future Science Award, and the jury board of the Cartier Women’s Initiative. Lu combines technical expertise with entrepreneurial insight to guide founders and portfolio companies toward growth and meaningful social and technological impact.
